Are you a structured, hands-on professional who enjoys improving processes, working with systems and supporting procurement colleagues in their day-to-day work? Join our Procurement Excellence team in Amersfoort as a Procurement Excellence Officer and help us make procurement processes simpler, more efficient and more effective.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of our procurement organization by reducing administrative burden, improving ways of working and supporting colleagues with practical solutions. It is a hands-on role, but also one that requires analytical thinking, independence and sound judgment.

Your Challenge

Your main challenge is to help procurement colleagues work more efficiently by minimizing non-value-added activities and improving the way processes and systems are used. This is a practical but intellectually challenging position. You will combine operational and administrative activities with process improvement, stakeholder contact and problem solving. You will work with procurement data, systems, suppliers and internal stakeholders, while also helping the team to identify smarter and more standardized ways of working. In this role, you are expected to take ownership and think independently. You will not only execute tasks, but also assess priorities, investigate issues, challenge existing ways of working and propose practical improvements. This may include working on SAP-related topics, improving process steps, contacting suppliers, supporting colleagues with procurement tools, or helping to standardize procurement processes across the organization. The role requires someone who is comfortable switching between detailed administrative work and more complex improvement topics. You should be able to judge what is sensible, when to take action yourself and when to involve others.

Your Responsibilities

• Process improvement: Investigate, improve and standardize procurement processes and procedures.
• Systems and tools: Support the effective use of procurement systems and tools, including SAP-related activities.
• Data and administration: Maintain and improve contract data, vendor data and other procurement-related information.
• Stakeholder contact: Act as a practical link between procurement, internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Training and support: Help colleagues understand and use procurement tools and processes effectively.

The location of this position is in Amersfoort. In this role, you work in a small team and report to the Manager Procurement Excellence.

This is our offer

When you join us, you will be part of our fascinating and ambitious international environment with highly skilled and motivated colleagues. A company that develops, produces and sells products that are essential for everyday life, where employees deliver the best quality, take ownership and take care of each other and our environment, our employment package comprises:

  • A temporary employment contract of one year for 32-40 hours;
  • An annual salary incl. holiday pay between EUR 48.000 - EUR 67.000;
  • 35 vacation days;
  • A thirteenth‑month salary;
  • Training opportunities.

Have You Got What It Takes?

We are looking for a smart, proactive and hands-on professional who likes to get things done, but also enjoys thinking about how things can be improved. You are structured, curious and able to work independently. You do not wait until everything is explained in detail, but investigate, ask the right questions and take ownership. You are comfortable with operational work and understand that administrative accuracy is an important part of the role. At the same time, you are able to look beyond the task itself and consider the broader process, system or stakeholder impact. You should be able to remain calm when priorities change, work with different stakeholders and translate issues into practical solutions. You are eager to learn, but also realistic and hands-on in your approach. Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following points:

• Bachelor’s degree or similar work experience preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in a midsized or large enterprise.
• Strong analytical skills and a structured way of working.
• Comfortable working with systems, such as SAP, data and process improvements.
• Comfortable contacting suppliers and internal stakeholders when needed.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
