Are you an experienced Business Development Manager with a strong background in industrial (energy) storage or the energy sector, and do you have forging partnerships in stakeholder management with (semi-)government agencies at a senior level in Northwest Europe? Then we are looking for you!

Your challange

The Senior Business Development Manager Energy Storage is a strategic leader responsible for driving significant growth in Nobian’s energy storage business. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities, developing and executing growth strategies, and managing key relationships to position Nobian as a market leader in energy storage solutions.

Your tasks

In this position you will work in a small team of professionals, you are the face of energy storage within Nobian, reporting to the Director Business Development Energy Storage. You maintain intensive daily contacts within the organization and with external stakeholders. Furthermore your tasks are:

  • Creating internal buy-in and managing cross-functional alignment within Nobian and implement strategic business development plans aligned with company goals 
  • Proactively identify and pursue and develop new business cases including hydrogen and other energy storage solutions
  • Conduct in-depth market research to uncover trends, opportunities, and competitive insights
  • Lead the sales process from initial contact through to contract negotiation and handover
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders such as commercial energy firms and senior-level government agencies and represent Nobian in industry events, conferences, stakeholder meetings and with governmental and regulatory bodies.

Have you got what it takes

Of course we also ask a lot of you, so you have excellent analytical skills, extensive experience in senior stakeholder management. Furthermore you have:

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in business development, sales, or consultancy within the energy or infrastructure sectors
  • A Bachelor’s / Master degree in business, marketing, or a related field, underpinning a strong theoretical and practical understanding of business principles
  • Deep understanding of the European energy storage market and renewable energy trends, including experience with (semi-)government organizations at senior management level
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Fluent in English and German (must)
