Then you should join our experienced Chlor-Alkali sales team as an Account Manager Nordics!

Your challenge

The Chlor-Alkali sales team is responsible for the sale of chlorine, caustic soda, microprills, hydrochloric acid, sodium hypochlorite, and ferric chloride. The northwest European market is managed by regional focus teams (Benelux, DACH countries, France, and the Nordic countries). 

As an Account Manager, you are responsible for the sale of Chlor-Alkali products to a portfolio of customers in the Nordic countries. Our industrial customers operate in a variety of segments, pulp and paper companies, chemicals, food, pharmaceuticals, and water treatment. In this role, you identify and develop business opportunities and support customers in their daily business. 

Your responsbilities

  • Maintaining long-term business relationships with buyers and decision-makers and driving commercial discussions. Travel is required, predominantly in the Nordic countries.
  • Understanding and evaluating customer needs, strategies, business goals, and build compelling value propositions based on these.
  • Being the point of contact for customers – supporting them with strategic and operational business and product-related issues.
  • Supporting customers on their journey to sustainability with low-carbon products.
  • Providing forecasts, analyses, and information to the department management about the market environment and competitor activities. Handling complex and impactful commercial contracts in cooperation with Legal experts.

You will be part of our Regional Nordics sales team located in the center of Gothenburg where you will have four direct colleagues. In this role, you will report to the Commercial Manager Chlor-Alkali, based in The Netherlands.

Have you got what it takes?

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with experience in B2B sales and a passion for sustainability and developing commercial opportunities. Self-responsibility and professional competence naturally go hand in hand with care in dealing with customers and colleagues. Furthermore: 

  • A business degree or BSc / MSc / Academic background in engineering, (chemical) engineering, economics or a combination of education and experience.
  • Relevant professional experience (+5 years) in an (industrial) B2B sales environment.
  • Strong commercial skills and proven experience in maintaining commercial relationships.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English.
  • Driver’s license.
