Accounting Business Partner & IFRS Expert

Your challenge

As an Accounting Business Partner, you are an enthusiastic team player who works as an expert in our Finance department. You have a lot of flexibility to organize your own working day, but you are committed to hard deadlines. You are a star in reporting and analyzing, and solving complex IFRS technical issues gives you a lot of energy. You assess the impact of new or changing accounting standards and lead projects to implement these standards. You are the go-to person for complex IFRS topics, such as financial instruments, impairment testing, and M&A. You know what you must do to achieve the best results and of course you will always receive support at Nobian. After all, we do it together!

Your responsibilities

In-depth review of the balance sheet and income statement from an IFRS perspective, ensuring a timely and reliable monthly financial closing process.
Preparing Nobian’s annual financial statements and quarterly interim financial statements for the bondholders.
Preparing Nobian’s Covenant reporting for the banks.
Maintaining complex IFRS records, including lease accounting, pension accounting, and loans.
Contributing to the Nobian ESG Reporting.

You will work in a small team and will interact a lot with colleagues from tax, legal, treasury and controlling located in the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark. Your will report directly to the Manager Accounting & Reporting

Have you got what it takes?

As an Accounting Business Partner & IFRS Expert you are a proactive and skilled professional with strong background in IFRS and financial reporting. You have excellent analytical skills and can manage multiple priorities under time pressure. Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following points:

Master’s degree in finance, with a focus on accounting.
Several years of relevant experience in accounting and reporting, previous experience at a big four audit firm is preferred.
Expertise knowledge in financial account (IFRIS, accounting processes).
Affinity with ESG reporting.
Fluency in English, Dutch is a big plus.
