Your Challenge

In this role, you will provide comprehensive support on all HR-related matters; performance management, strategic workforce planning, coaching, team interventions, change management, and succession planning at our Rotterdam site. You will take the lead in promoting vitality and sustainable employability, and you are responsible for accurate HR reporting. You will work closely with the central HR team and act as a trusted advisor to the Site Leadership Team (SLT) and people managers. You will ensure that all HR practices comply with local labor laws, internal policies, and collective labor agreements. As HR Business Partner, you play a key role in aligning the workforce, fostering engagement, and ensuring the organization is equipped to meet production goals safely and efficiently.

Your Tasks

The HR Business Partner reports to the CHRO and works closely with the central HR team and fellow site HRBPs. As a member of the local Site Leadership Team (SLT), you will actively contribute to strategic decision-making and help shape the future of the site. Furthermore, your tasks are:

  • Aligning HR strategies with manufacturing business objectives by advising plant leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent development.
  • Initiating and supporting change management initiatives to drive organizational effectiveness and adaptability.
  • Taking end-to-end responsibility for the effective implementation of HR policies within your scope at the Rotterdam site.
  • This includes key areas such as, absenteeism, sustainable employability, strategic workforce planning, and HR reporting and supporting change management initiatives.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders within your area of responsibility.
  • Representing HR within your local Management Team (MT), providing coaching and strategic direction and operational support on HR-related topics. Guiding and supporting people managers, and collaborate closely with the local Works Council (OR) to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Within the Central HR team you will receive support from the Compensation and Benefits Team, Operations Team and Recruitment.

Have you got what it takes

Naturally, we also expect a lot from you. You are an experienced HR professional who operates independently and combines strategic insight with strong hands-on execution. You know how to effectively manage stakeholders, both within the business and across various HR disciplines. Furthermore, you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR Business Partner or similar role, preferably within a 24/7 (chemical) production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Dutch labor law, works council dynamics, and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch.
  • A hands-on and proactive approach to problem-solving.
