Are you experienced in managing technical professionals and passionate about cost control and process improvements? Do you excel in communicating effectively across various organizational levels? If so, we are looking for you to join our team as a Quantity Surveyor.

Your challenge

The Quantity Surveyor continuously drives contractor process improvements to increase contractor quality, effectiveness and efficiency for our maintenance department. You ensure that contractors deliver what is agreed upon in terms of quantity, quality and finances. This means control of administration but also the physical work. You advise, steer and participate in contract optimization by data analysis. Additionally, you participate in performance reviews to evaluate different suppliers and advise our Contractor Supervisor with escalations.

Your responsibilities

  • Being the contacting specialist for executed contracted activities, advising the maintenance, project and turnaround teams on site.
  • Controlling costs and mandate to disapprove executed contractor work (executed vs. invoices).
  • Installing, maintaining, and executing a contractor evaluation system.
  • Building, maintaining and utilizing a network of internal stakeholders/partners.
  • Participating in and executing value improving practices (peer reviews, value engineering) and knowledge management (sharing, maintaining, updating information and best practices).

You will be part of the Support team and report to the Process and Documentation Lead. You will work closely with our Contractor Supervisors and the Maintenance Contract Manager.

Have you got what it takes?

As Quantity Surveyor, you have multiple years of relevant experience within a technical environment. Further to this you recognize yourself in the following points:

  • MBO+/ Bachelor diploma in a relevant field.
  • Previous working experience with contractors. 
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at different layers in the organization.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
  • Experience with SAP and use Excel is a plus.
